Building a Pool in Deltona: What Local Homeowners Should Know
Deltona sits on sandy soil between dozens of small lakes. That makes excavation fast, but the water table can run high in the rainy season. Fiberglass pools handle this well because the shell arrives in one piece and is set in a day or two, instead of weeks of forming and spraying concrete. We plan the dig around the season and the site, and we set the pool so it drains away from your house. We’re based here, so we’re minutes from most Deltona jobs, not an hour away.
Screen Enclosures Built for Florida Wind Codes
Every new pool cage we build in Deltona is engineered to the Florida Building Code for wind load, and we pull the permit and pass the inspection. For older cages, we rescreen and replace torn panels and damaged doors. We’ll tell you plainly when a frame is worth saving and when it isn’t.
Deltona Pool and Enclosure FAQ
How much does a fiberglass pool cost in Deltona? Pools start at $49,500. The final price depends on the pool model, the deck, the enclosure and access to your yard. We give you a written, itemized quote after one visit.
How long does it take to install a pool in Deltona? Most pool installations take 8 to 12 weeks, depending on weather and the complexity of the project. Permits go through the City of Deltona or Volusia County, depending on your address. We handle the application and the inspections.
Do you build the screen enclosure too? Yes. Our own crews build pools and pool cages, so one contractor schedules both and you get one warranty conversation, not two.
Is Southern Construction the same company as Southern Screen? Yes. Same family, same phone number (386-574-7567), same crews. We changed the name when we grew from screen work into full pool construction.
Licensed for Every Part of Your Project
Southern Construction holds Florida licenses as a Certified General Contractor (CGC1511557) and Certified Pool Contractor (CPC1461713), so your pool, enclosure and hardscape can be built under one contractor instead of three. We serve Deltona and the rest of Volusia County from our office in Deltona.
