What Orange County Requires for a Fiberglass Pool
Orange County’s residential pool permit asks fiberglass builders for details most homeowners never see: how the shell is protected from hydrostatic (groundwater) pressure, how the shell is leveled, how steps and swim-outs are supported, and what backfill is used. The county also requires an energy and pump compliance worksheet and a signed Swimming Pool Safety Affirmation. If you choose door alarms as part of your safety barrier, they must reach 85 decibels at 10 feet.
That matters because Central Florida has a high water table. We plan groundwater relief and backfill on every install, and we tell every owner the same rule: never drain a fiberglass pool without having groundwater checked first.
Fiberglass Pool Cost

| 12 ft wide | $47,800 to $61,400 |
| 13 to 14 ft wide | $58,100 to $69,400 |
| 15 to 16 ft wide | $60,700 to $82,400 |
| Pool and spa combo | $56,000 to $80,400 |
Ranges are for a standard installed package. Your exact price depends on the model, deck, access to the yard and options. A fuel and delivery surcharge of $400 to $800 applies depending on distance. See what is included in every fiberglass pool package.
Fiberglass Pool Brands We Install
- Latham: one of the largest fiberglass pool manufacturers in the country; many Latham models ship from Zephyrhills, Florida.
- San Juan: fiberglass shells made in Lakeland, Florida.
- Rainforest: fiberglass pools made in Longwood, Florida, in Seminole County.
Carrying three brands means we can match the right shape and size to your yard instead of selling you the only line we have.
Pool and Enclosure Packages
Florida law requires a pool safety barrier, and a screen enclosure is the most common choice. We design the pool, deck and Orange County pool enclosure as one project.

FAQs
How much does a fiberglass pool cost in Orange County?
Most installed fiberglass pools run from about $45,500 for a small pool to $82,400 for a large 15 to 16 ft wide pool. Pool and spa combos run $56,000 to $80,400. A fuel and delivery surcharge of $400 to $800 applies depending on distance.
How long does a fiberglass pool take in Orange County?
Most installs take 8 to 12 weeks from contract. Permit review and inspections are usually the longest part; the shell itself is set in a day or two.
Why does Orange County ask about hydrostatic pressure for fiberglass pools?
Fiberglass shells are lighter than concrete. If groundwater rises while a pool is empty or low, it can push the shell up. The county wants to see how the builder relieves that pressure and backfills the shell.
